VM Player is an Android app made by KayOne. This page says what the app keeps on your phone, what it sends over the internet and to whom, and what you can do about it. It covers the VM Player app and this website.

The short version

What stays on your phone

Watch history and resume positions, the list of downloads, browser history, bookmarks, tabs, site settings for Shields, IPTV playlists you add, app settings and the contents of the private folder are stored only in the app's storage on your phone. They are removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it. Files you download are saved in the folder you choose and stay there until you delete them.

Features on your own Wi-Fi

Casting to a TV (VM Cast and DLNA) and sending a video to a phone nearby work on your local network. The video goes straight from your phone to the TV or the other phone and does not pass through our servers. For nearby sending the app runs a small temporary server on your phone that stops when you close the sending screen.

Permissions

You can turn any permission off in Android settings. The parts of the app that need it will ask again when you use them.

Your choices

Children

VM Player is not made for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security and keeping data

All connections to the services above use encryption (HTTPS). Firebase keeps analytics data for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days. We do not sell personal information.

This website

vmplayer.org does not use cookies, analytics or ads. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page and time) for a short time to keep the site running. Fonts are served from vmplayer.org itself, so opening the site does not contact any other company.
